DJ VJ [DaMusicManne] puttin in the real classics. Here's the tape that started it all for two 'DJ-turn-producers' we all now know well as the "Super Producers" DJ Paul and Juicy J from what's left of the legendary Three 6 Mafia. This tape represents the first full collaboration between the two DJs from the early underground days. Here's your History Lesson:: Back in 1993, Paul & Juice were just two separate kats out of many small time mixers struggling to gain noise and reputation from the Memphis streets. DJ Paul from Blackhaven was an at-home mixer who gained notoriety through his back to back neighborhood mixtapes. Like so many other mixtapes circling the Memphis underground, they mainly featured remixed classic westcoast tracks. He soon began producing himself & for his brother Lord Infamous in 1992. Together they formed the duo "The Serial Killaz." At the time, they ran by the aliases 'The Killaman' and 'Scarecrow.' Shortly after their first tape release, DJ Paul moved more towards producing tracks rather than remixing. In the process, he became affiliated with higher profiled artists such as the upcoming Skinny Pimp & 211 for example. He began to easily attract many underground MCs onto his beats and before long, his mixtapes were featuring numerous rappers from all around the way.
