In the Kitchen with Ken: Sweet Potato/Pumpkin pie

Sweet potato/Pumpkin pie 1 cup pumpkin 1 cup sweet potato 4 ounces cream cheese 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 3 egg whites 1 cup half-half 1/2 stick of butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick pumpkin spice 2 graham cracker crust Clean out a small pumpkin and cut it into 4 pieces. Wrap pieces along with your sweet potato and place them on the grill on indirect heat for an hour or until they are soft to the touch or cook them in the oven on 425 degrees. Remove any of the outside skin and place a cup of each into a large mixing bowl along with the cream cheese. Use a hand mixer to blend the ingredients together until pureed. Add egg whites, half-and-half and butter and blend until combined. Add sugar, seasonings and vanilla and blend until mixture is a smooth puree. Pour into the graham cracker crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until the middle of the pie rises. Let cool to room temperature and serve with a little cool whip and cinnamon sugar on top. This will make two pies. Toasted Pumpkin Seeds 1 cup pumpkin seeds 1 tablespoon old bay 1 teaspoon sea salt 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil Place pumpkin seeds in a pan and cover them your olive oil and seasonings. Toss them in the pan over high heat until they are toasted and covered with spices. If you would like to add more spice, add 1/2 tablespoon of crushed red pepper to the mixture.

Now as you might of heard me mension at the end of the last gig log we had a few problems with the sound equipment. My mixer Behringer DJX 750 started to play up and only send sound out of the left hand speaker and then cut out for 5 seconds in the middle of the pary (lucky they were having food) everything seemed fine after that but then did the same ones i got home and tested it. This is no good at all, have got gigs comming up for the rest of the summer as needed a new mixer as backup. Let me know what you think! Will be doing a proper review soon.......

MM8BDM: Chaos Generator

Vortale enjoys chaos a little too much. So, a few nights ago, Roll's Chaos Generator mod was released. It's a mode that will spice up any game, as (t)roll starts the slot machine and picks 3 effects that will royally screw up the map in a variety of ways. It's, surprisingly, a barrel of fun, providing you don't take it seriously (STOP RAGING OVER WAVEBIKES GAWD ITS NOT A TOURNAMENT YOUR LIFE IS NOT AT STAKE HERE). However, unlike Roboenza, having the video on it's own would never produce anything entertaining. You had to experience the chaos first hand, so, mid-way through my games, I pulled out audacity and started recording my voice that would sync up with the demo. 3 things I KNOW I'll need to address though: 1. I had consumed absolutely nothing besides a chocolate bar and 3 large cups of coffee (2 sugars) before recording. 2. I was on a skype call with friends, one of which was playing the game and I had my sister beside me to watch the chaos unfold. 3. I was having WAY too much fun. That said, I apologise for my voice being rather annoying. I'm not normally this bad lol This would've obviously worked much better if I set my mixer up so I could include the skype call, but that took too much time. This video was another that didn't want to be uploaded. I had to kick it so many times to get it to compress to a right size. I have no idea what my issue is with these MM8BDM videos.
